As Florida lawmakers work on the state budget for next year, some educational programs are up on the chopping block, including the Florida Resident Access Grant, commonly known as FRAG. In an effort to save this grant, which gives $3,000 to Florida residents attending in-state private colleges, Florida Southern College staff and students are coming together to lobby local politicians for its continuance.

The Student Government Association held a presidential debate March 17 in the Lakeview Room. Participating in the debate were candidates Bryant Manning, Matt Habib, and Jessica Reidling. The debate was the first in many years and showcased the candidate's talents and platforms.

Florida Southern College has the honor and once-in-a-life-time opportunity to host the world renowned doctors Sally and Bennet Shaywitz on Thursday, March 27. They are the co-directors of the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity. They are also world renowned for their work with Functional Magnetic Residence Imaging.
