The Florida Southern College men's cross country team will be making an appearance at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Championship. The men's team finished as runner-ups at the 10K South Regional meet in Dover and that helped pave the way to the National meet.
The Lady Mocs season came to a stumbling end in their final match of the season against Nova Southeastern. The team fell 27-25, 26-28, 25-20 and 25-21 against their Sunshine State Conference rival. Senior Julia Borecka who led the team throughout the year ended her Florida Southern career with 24 kills and 12 digs.
The Lady Mocs season came to an end at the foot of the University of North Alabama in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Regional tournament. The Mocs knew they could have beat North Alabama, and North Alabama knew that as well when they went into halftime down 2-1.
The Florida Southern College men's basketball team's season has started and their hope for another Sunshine State Conference champsionship title are dependent on the emergence of young players, as well as the veterans' consistency. While there is only one senior on the team the returning junior players have the game experience needed to lead the Mocs to a championship title.
"For me, playing golf is like a marriage - when it's all going well I love it, but when it's going down the drain I've got to work harder and it's not as much fun then." The love affair that Philippine native and Florida Southern College junior Jude Eustaquio has with the game of golf began with the simple swing at the young age of seven and has grown into a drive to be successful.
They have handed back gold, tainted world records, been cursed by the public and banned from their respective sports. Over the past few months and the last decade, athletes have been asking for forgiveness and searching for public acceptance after various disgraceful acts.
Women's Basketball The Lady Mocs are picked to finish fifth in the Sunshine State Conference this season. Men's Basketball As the men's basketball season begins again, the Mocs were ranked eighth in the National Association of Basketball Coaches preseason poll.
