Mitchell has done more than just school-work while at FSC. She ran cross country her freshman year and played softball in her freshman and sophomore years.
"In 2006, the softball team won the Sunshine State Conference Championship as well as the South Region Championship and we competed for the National Championship," Mitchell said.
She was also a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and served as intramural chair in 2005, the vice president of operations in 2006, and the president of the chapter in 2007.
There is very little that she regrets about her time on campus, but there is one thing that she would like to change if she could.
"If I could do anything differently, I would postpone graduation as long as possible because there are so many more classes I would like to take."
The most important things that she will take with her are her memories of not only the classroom but also of her residence halls and the softball field.
"I have made so many friends that will be lifelong friends," Mitchell said.
The advice that she gives to students is to focus on learning.
"It's not about tests or grades. You will be more successful with a love for learning more so than a love for getting a grade," Mitchell said.
"Make the most in your time in school because it's the lifetime learning that counts," she concluded.
She would also strongly recommend that marketing majors take as many communication classes as possible.
"They are really helpful in the area of Marketing," Mitchell said.
