Florida Southern Opera
The Florida Southern Opera Theatre will perform in concert with the FSC Symphony Orchestra and Chorale on April 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium.
Among the many highlights is a tribute to the Three Tenors starring three of FSC's student singers: Mathew Habib, Bryant Manning and Scott Trip. Tickets are $15 for the community, free for FSC students, $7.50 for non-FSC students. For ticket information, contact the Branscomb Auditorium box office at 680-4296.
Learn Chinese
FSC will be offering a 3-credit hourr course called Conversational Chineve. The course number is LAN 197-02. Students will have the opportunity to learn basic elements of Chinese such as Chinese phonetics, characters, phrases, and conversation.
The class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, 4 p.m. - 5:20 p.m. For more information, contact Dr. David Grossman at dgrossman@flsouthern.edu..
Loop the Lake
Kappa Delta and the Lakeland Alumnae Association are teaming up for the Second Annual Loop the Lake 5K on April 4, beginning at 6:30 p.m.. The cost to enter is $15. All proceeds benefit Heartland for Children and Prevent Child Abuse America.
Students can register at elitetiming.net or e-mail Amanda Glickman at aglickman@flsouthern.edu.
Caribbean Beach Bash
There will be a beach party on campus March 27, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Lynn's Garden
Southern Cinema
The Office of Residence Life will be showing "Quantum of Solace" in Badcock Garden on March 28, 9 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Senior Art Show
The Department of Art and Art History will present its Senior Studio Art Show in the Melvin Art Gallery. The exhibit begins March 27 and will conclude April 10.
Students that will have work feautred in the show are Robyn Baker, Elizabeth Chincilla, Krystal Foster, Katie Mohr and Amy Sartin. The art gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
