FSC's horticulture and citrus fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho, hosted the fourth annual "Buck Off" bull riding competition in the greek quad as a part of Greek Unity week. Students had the opportunity to eat Sonny's BBQ for $2, of which some of the proceeds went to the Sheriff's Youth Ranch. Local country radio station 97.5 provided the music, and FSC's own fraternities and sororities provided the entertainment, displaying their bull-riding skills, or lack there of.

With the help of AGR brothers and rodeo clowns, Hunter Godby, senior, and Andrew Kuremsky, freshman, teams of three or four from each fraternity and sorority banded together to brave the bull.

"I feel like the best part of Greek Week is being humbled by getting up and being thrown from a bull. It's fun to laugh with yourself and with each other and be silly like kids" junior and brother of Lambda Chi Alpha, Dave Bollen said.

"I think it's really important to have a good time and just have fun together. Friendly competition is good, but we all have Greek in common so we might as well get along," sophomore Alpha Chi Omega Jillian Campbell said.

The main goal of Greek Week was to bring all the fraternities and sororities together for one week of peace, fun and games.

Freshman and Alpha Omicron Pi sister, Jeanine Presley said "I think [Greek Week] did a lot to bring us all together."

Another great product of Greek Week was that it raised awareness about the activities of other fraternities and sororities.

"We got to meet people from other fraternities and sororities which helped a lot with our events, like War of the Roses. More people knew about us so more people came to the events," Presley said.

The winner of "Buck Off" was the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
